Course Description

The Gene Ontology Curation Day is an opportunity to annotate papers of your choosing in a relaxed environment with experienced GO curators around to help.

Annotated papers are linked to GO terms on several websites, so this is a good way in which to raise the profile of your research.  And if this was not incentive enough, we will also be providing lunch, coffee, tea and of course plenty of biscuits!

Course Format and Details:

This 1 day event will enable attendees to gain a deeper understanding of Gene Ontology though annotation practice.

Preparation:

  • Attendees must have previously attended the 2-day Gene Ontology Annotation Workshop, and will find it useful to bring along the booklet from the 2-day workshop.
  • Attendees will also need to bring several experimental (annotatable) papers with them to the curation day.

Availability:

This event is open to all past attendees of any of the 2-day Gene Ontology Annotation workshops.

Cancellations:

This event is available free of charge to all attendees, however in order to confirm numbers for catering, we ask that cancellations be made with at least 3 working days notice by emailing Kate Henderson (kate.henderson@ucl.ac.uk).
